Description : Quran khwani is an excellent work which is also mentioned in hadith. Quran khwani which also aims for passing the rewards, either the reward reaches to the corpse or not is controversial. In a book named ‘Tajkera-fi-ehwalil maut’ written by Allama Quturbi it was mentioned that no one actually agree that the way charity reaches to the corpse, recitating quran, blessing and forgiveness is also rewarded to the corpse because it is also a kind of offering. Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam says that when a person dies rush to burry them, recite surah Fateha towards his head and the end of surah-al-bakra towards his feet. Allama hafiz ibne hajar wrote in bukhari sharif that this hadith tabrani is mentioned in a correct manner. The Prophet of Allah Rasool Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam commanded “ when entering in a graveyard the person who recite Surah- fateha , Qul huwa Allahu ahad and al-haq-o-mutt kosar and pray that whatever he recited should be rewarded to all the gentleman buried in this graveyard then they will pray for the Intercession of that person on the Day of Judgment (Daat-e-qurani). It proves that the act of Quran Khwani and perking it to near ones is lawful and permitted in Islam. We can perform the Quran khwani before initiating any new work. For Quran khwani it is important to complete whole Quran which is not possible for single person. This is the reason behind gathering together and reciting the Whole Quran, this act is Quran khwani in which a complete quran is recited together at a time.
